The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2026 NECO GCE Examination Timetable. The 2026 NECO GCE/SSCE External examination is scheduled to hold from Wednesday, 4th November to Saturday, 21st November, 2026.

Important Instructions for NECO GCE Candidates
Candidates should note the following instructions contained on the NECO timetable:
- It is mandatory that each candidate has a photocard for identification.
- Candidates are expected to be seated 30 minutes before the commencement of each subject/paper.
- Where the time on the virtual question paper differs from the time on this timetable, the time on the virtual question paper should be strictly adhered to.
- Albinos and blind candidates are to be given 30 minutes extra time across all papers.
- Use of scientific calculator is allowed.
- Bringing electronic communication gadgets into the examination hall is strictly prohibited. This includes programmable calculators, mobile phones, iPads, tablets, smart wrist watches, smart glasses and smart pens.
NECO GCE 2026 Examination Date
The 2026 NECO SSCE External examination begins on Wednesday, 4th November 2026 and ends on Saturday, 21st November 2026.
Candidates are advised to study the timetable carefully and prepare for each paper ahead of the examination date.
